Yerevan to host One Small Step performance of Oxford Playhouse troupe

Program Coordinator of the British Council Armenia Narek Tovmasyan said that the arrival of Oxford Playhouse troupe is an important event for the organization. “Every year we attend Edinburgh festival and choose the best actors to perform in Yerevan,” Tovmasyan told a press conference in Yerevan on May 8.

One Small Step performance will be staged in Armenia by Oxford Playhouse troupe. It encapsulates the race between the United States and the Soviet Union to send the first man to the moon.

Actors Robin Hemmings and Oliver Millingham commented on their visit to Armenia, saying that they are impressed by Yerevan from the cultural point of view.

One Small Step was staged in 13 countries. Representatives of Russia and the US, including NASA cosmonauts saw the performance, although it was not staged in these countries, Romin Hemmings told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. “In general, they were of positive opinion, though Russians labeled our humor as unhealthy in some scenes,” the actor said.
