Larisa Alaverdyan: Karabakh talks will produce no result in near future

Signing the first document on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Armenia accepted that NKR is a part of Azerbaijan, according to Larisa Alaverdyan, member of Heritage parliamentary group.

“Due to this blunder, NKR was mentioned a part of Azerbaijan in all other documents, including the Bishkek ceasefire agreement, though it records Arstakh as a party to conflict. Armenia provoked exclusion of NKR from talks,” Mrs. Alaverdyan told reporters on May 12.

As to the activity of the OSCE Minsk Group, she said the only achievement of this structure is maintenance of ceasefire. “I think no breakthrough can be expected in the near future. The basis of the current negotiation process excludes resolution of the conflict,” the Armenian MP said.
