Press Secretary of U.S. State Department Richard Boucher appearing in regular briefing in Washington stated the American Embassies in ten countries of the world started working in limited regime in connection with fear of acts of terrorism. Azerbaijan, Algeria, Pakistan, Yemen, Indonesia are included in the list of the countries where American diplomats feel most vulnerable. Azerbaijan is the only CIS country that is included in the list. Press Attaché of the American Embassy in Baku James Stewart stated in an interview to "Ekho" newspaper that before visiting the Embassy citizens of the U.S.A. and other countries had to report on their intention beforehand. This is also conditioned by fears of terrorism.
