Residents of Van, Turkey, are preparing to host Armenians, who will arrive to attend in the liturgy in Holy Cross Church on Akhtamar island

With the support of Van Mayor’s Office and a number of NGOs, one of the local newspapers launched a campaign titled “Let’s open our doors for Armenians.” Another newspaper will issue an edition in Armenian on September 19.

The event will be covered by 300 media. All numbers in Van hotels have been already reserved. 300 families have already expressed willingness to host Armenians.
