School building competition results approved at Lincy Foundation Governing Board session

Governing Board of Lincy Foundation hosted a session led by RA Deputy PM, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan.

Lincy Foundation's School Construction project director Hrayr Sargsyan presented competition results.

Minimum of three and maximum of nine companies participated in the competition announced for reconstruction and rehabilitation of six schools in Lori and Shirak. Organizations, submitting lowest cost price, in accordance with competition terms, were announced winners.

Shinarar CJSC, Triton CJSC and Ukrshin CJSC won the competition announced for Spitak, Stepanavan and Vanadzor schools; Kropshin CJSC, Algare and Baghramyanshin companies were recognized as winners in the competition announced for schools in Sarakap, Nor kyanq and Arevshat villages.

The Council approved competition results: USD 715 thousand was saved to be directed at implementation of additional activities in future. At the same time, Governors and heads of project implementation offices were instructed to start preparations for immediate construction launch.

Lincy Foundation will implement the second project of school building timed to 20th anniversary of the Earthquake in Lori and Shirak. Total project cost is USD 12 million. Construction is scheduled to be completed in March 2012; with one-year post guarantee period, PR department at Territorial Administration Ministry reported.
