U.S. supports credible investigation of Israeli raid on Freedom Flotilla

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu told reporters ahead of a meeting with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that Turkey was disappointed with the U.S. administration's response to the raid and demanded from Washington that it condemn Israel. State Department spokesman Philip Crowley said later that Davutoglu did not demand a U.S. condemnation in his meeting with Clinton.

Later, U.S. President Barack Obama spoke by telephone with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Obama expressed his condolences over the death of Turkish citizens and made clear the U.S. support for a credible investigation, AP reported.
