Canadian journalist Michael Coren reminds Turkey about its human rights record of genocide

Canadian journalist, author, and broadcaster Michael Coren' spoke of Turkey’s human rights record of genocide and aggression against neighboring countries and its own minorities.

Commenting on Ankara’s reaction to Freedom Flotilla-related incident, Michael Coren reminded about Turkey's hypocrisy and the Armenian Genocide during a TV discussion panel on CTS network.

“Countries have a right, perhaps a duty to respond to any sort of international event, but Turkey.. Let’s look upon the history of his country... Turkey still denies the Genocide occurred, saying “we did not kill the Armenians”. Yes you did, you raped and slaughtered a million and a half innocent people. We have 20 000 Turkish troops going into Kurdistan, in Iraq, but autonomous Kurdistan. You shelled, bombed and shot innocent men, women and children… Turkey, speaking out against another country, criticizing another country for doing something wrong? The irony goes much deeper and dirtier than that,” the TV presenter emphasized.

Michael Coren is a TV talk show host and a columnist for the SUN Newspapers in Canada.
