Turkey and Israel will maintain diplomatic relations, according to prof. Ruben Safrastyan, director of RA NAS Institute of Oriental Studies.

“The two countries are just ‘flexing muscles’. It’s hard to say how much things may worsen but relations will not be severed completely,” he told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

“As to reanimated debate on the Armenian Genocide in Israel, it’s a mere political move. Israel knows how to press Turkey and the Armenian Genocide issue is a perfect leverage in this case,” prof. Safrastyan said.
