Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Andrey Nesterenko said that the supply of Russian S-300 complexes does not fall within the scope of the new UN resolution on Iran.
“As the resolution on Iran contains references with respect to separate types of armaments, I can state that air defense capabilities, except for the shoulder-fired missiles, are not included in the UN register of conventional armaments,” Nesterenko told a briefing in Moscow.
Earlier Interfax reported with reference to sources in Russian Arms company that Russia will not supply S-300 complexes to Iran after the adoption of the UN Security Council’s resolution.
