Armenian artists bid farewell to painter Varuzhan Vardanyan

On June 18, Artists’ Union of Armenia hosted a farewell ceremony to honor Armenian artist Varuzhan Vardanyan, with high-ranking officials, art and culture workers attending.

“It’s regretful that talent is often valued after the death of the person,” writer Edward Militonyan said in a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. “I am hopeful that Varuzhan Vardanyan’s works will be famous in future.”

Varuzhan Vardanyan (born June 22, 1948 in Kachagan village, Armenia) graduated from Yerevan Art Theatre Institute. Worked at Armenian National Television as Art Editor. Participated in republican exhibitions. Has been Armenian Artists’ Union member since 1976. Was awarded with RA Honorable Artist title for significant contribution to the development of art in Armenia.
