In March, when the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee approved the Armenian Genocide resolution, the Jewish lobby refrained from supporting Turkey and was rather passive, Turkologist Artak Shakaryan said.
Asked by a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter about possibility of collaboration between Armenia and Jewish lobby, Shakaryan said, “Even if such originates, it will not last long. But if the Turkish-Israeli relation remain strained, it will be a significant victory for Armenia.”
Moreover, he added that Armenia is closely cooperating with the Arab world, where a large number of Armenians live. “Cooperation with Israel will have a negative impact on relations with Arab states,” he said.
