Armenia’s export volumes increased by 64.5% in January-May 2010

According to updated statistical data, Armenia's foreign trade turnover totaled $1.8bln in January-May 2010, which is 34.5% higher as compared with the same period of 2009.

Meanwhile, 1.1% drop was recorded in the trade turnover in May as compared with April 2010, the RA National Statistical Service reported.

Besides, export totaled $364.1mln in January-May 2010 that is 64.5% higher as compared with the same period of 2009, while 28.5% growth was recorded in import, bringing it to $1.1bln.

The negative balance of foreign trade turnover amounted to $1047mln in January-May 2010.
