VivaCell-MTS, a subsidiary of Mobile TeleSystems OJSC, hosted a student group from the Yeghegnadzor branch of the Armenian State University of Economics for a course on the basics of mobile communication, the Company’s press office reported.
“The cellular communication boom is the direct result of scientific achievement and experience that comes with years. What the future professionals have to remember is that if they want to be competitive in the market they need both to capture the skills they are taught now and to stay open to innovations,” VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian said.
“The pioneer users of mobile communication could hardly imagine what drastic innovations would be available in the market 8-9 years later. Today we witness tremendous development and emerging channels of information exchange,” he said.
After the lecture, the students also had a tour through the departments of the Company.
