Turkey, Israel continue with military cooperation

A Turkish military delegation arrived Tuesday in Tel Aviv to conclude test-runs in the delivery of four Israeli-made drones, the remaining lot in a 10-UAV deal between Turkey and Israel.

The Turkish delegation will stay in Tel Aviv for nearly two weeks to test the Heron UAVs, the electronic equipment and spare parts.

Six drones were shipped to Turkey in February under the $180-million contract, the Anatolian Agency reported.

Relations between Turkey and Israel saw a heavy blow after Israeli commandos raided late May a Gaza-bound aid flotilla, killing eight Turkish nationals and a U.S. citizen of Turkish descent.
