Armenian delegation’s proposals accepted at OSCE High-Level Conference

During the OSCE High-Level Conference on Tolerance and Non-Discrimination in the Kazakhstan's capital Astana on June 29 and 30, the Armenian delegation raised the issue of demolition of Armenian cultural heritage in Azerbaijan and discrimination policy against the Armenian community in Turkey.

“The delegation reminded of Erdogan’s threats to expel Armenians from Turkey and destruction of Armenian khachkars in Old Jugha,” head of Heritage parliamentary group Stepan Safaryan told journalists on June 6.

“Azerbaijani delegation head Hidayat Orujev’s response was hysteric but vague,” he said.

Safaryan also informed that Armenian side’s proposals regarding criminalization of genocide denial and inadmissibility of persecution of Christian minorities were accepted.
