On July 5, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan participated in the closing ceremony of FIDE Women's Grand Prix in Jermuk resort.
Mr. Sargsyan greeted all the participants and guests and noted the importance of Jermuk, as an international center for chess development, the RA government's press service reported.
"The tournament brought together the best chess players in Jermuk, and the world had the opportunity to watch these nice matches," Mr. Sargsyan noted.
12 chess players from seven countries participated in FIDE Women's Grand Prix in Jermuk resort. Georgia's Nana Dzagnidze won the tournament, followed by Russia's Tatiana Kosintseva. Armenia's Elina Danielyan and Lilit Mkrtchyan finished 3rd and 4th respectively.
