National library hosts meeting with writer Danny Donikian

On July 9, the National Library of Armenia hosted a meeting with French-Armenian writer and translator Danny Donikian.

In addition to writing books, he has translated to French books by Hovhannes Tumanyan, Paruyr Sevak, Violet Grigoryan, Marine Petrosyan, Arpi Voskanyan and other writers from Armenia and Diaspora.

Danny Donikian is a founder and editor of several known Armenian websites and blogs. Besides, he is an activist in the struggle for the Armenian Genocide recognition.

He was the initiator of a flower laying ceremony to Komitas monument in France with a representative of Turkish intelligentsia, which has become an annual tradition.

Donikian actively participates in Armenia's political life. He was а chronicler of local and presidential elections in Artsakh in 2006-2008, during which he was an observer of ONG Transpa-rency organization.
