Krzysztof Zanussi advises Armenian filmmakers to show their films for Diaspora

It’s easy to shoot a film but it’s difficult to put it into general release, said Polish film director Krzysztof Zanussi, who is in Yerevan to participate in Golden Apricot International Film Festival.

“In Armenia, like in other smalls countries, the government doesn’t interfere in movie industry. So it’s important for Armenian filmmakers to show their films for Diaspora,” he told a press conference on July 15.

“Polish movie industry is flourishing thanks to the newly adopted law envisaging 1.5 per cent of general release for cinematograph development. Besides, the Polish Filmmakers' Union finances young talents,” Zanussi said.
