55.9% growth recorded in Armenia’s export in January-June 2010

According to updated statistical data, Armenia's foreign trade turnover totaled $2.1bln in January-June 2010 that is 29.8% higher as compared with the same period of 2009.

Meanwhile, 3.4% growth was recorded in the trade turnover in June as compared with May 2010, the RA National Statistical Service reported.

Besides, export totaled $442.8mln in January-June 2010 that is 55.9% higher as compared with the same period of 2009, while 24.4% growth was recorded in import, bringing it to $1.7bln.

The negative balance of foreign trade turnover amounted to $1.281bln in January-May 2010.
