Radoslaw Sikorski: there’s every chance for Eastern Partnership program implementation

If we didn’t believe in the possibility of Eastern Partnership program implementation, the very idea of launching the EaP wouldn’t make sense, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski stated.

“However, it should be underlined that the success of the EaP and, more broadly, of the idea of anchoring the countries covered by the Partnership in the European Union - that is facilitating their approximation to Europe - depends less on the European Union and it respective members, and more on the states covered by the Partnership themselves. I mean their commitment to European integration, their effectiveness in using funds allocated to the program, their persistence in implementing reforms and moving closer to Europe. As concerns Armenia, I see enormous interest and engagement, so the outlook for positive results is promising,” the Minister told PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Commenting on the possibility to launch joint Armenia-Poland programs on information exchange, Radoslaw Sikorski pointed out, “If you are referring to projects designed to enhance the development of free media in Armenia, broader public access to information and professional advancement of journalists – the answer is “yes”, we are planning such projects.”
