On July 28, President of the Republic of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan visited Askeran and Martuni regions to inspect operation of the newly-built irrigation system there.

Besides, the President held a working consultation in Askeran regional center on problems of irrigation system.

Bako Sahakyan said that the development of irrigation network is of strategic importance for NKR.

In addition, the President attached importance to elaboration of a new concept for water consumption.

Mr. Sahakyan gave certain instructions to heads of relevant structures.

NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan, Minister of Agriculture Armo Tsaturyan and other officials accompanied the President during the visit, the Central Information Department of the NKR President’s Office reported.
