The number of officially registered unemployed totaled 84,600, according to the State Employment Service. The total number of economically active population totaled 1,187,000 in January-June 2010, with 1,103,300 people having jobs.

According to the official data, 24,700 out of the total number of unemployed were receiving benefits as of the end of June 2010, against 23,700 as of the end of June 2009. The average monthly benefit grossed AMD 16,443 against 16,661 in June 2009.
