Extension of Russian military base deployment in Armenia will allow RA and Karabakh to avoid war in near future, Democratic Party of Armenia (DPA) leader Aram Sargsyan stated.

As he noted at news conference in Yerevan, were Armenian authorities be capable of “setting the right tone”, Armenia wouldn't have needed a military patronage of another country.

Commenting on Russia's possible intention to supply S-300 missile systems to Azerbaijan he noted, “Perhaps, by supplying weaponry to Baku, Moscow aims to preserve balance between Armenia and Azerbaijan, thus serving its own interests.”
