Sergey Minasyan: possible adoption of resolution on Karabakh in UN will change nothing

Head of political research department at Caucasus Institute Sergey Minasyan believes that autumn of 1991 was one of the best episodes in Armenian history.

“The Artsakh Republic was proclaimed and legitimate state agencies established,” Minasyan told a news conference on September 2.

Commenting on possible adoption of Azerbaijan’s resolution on Karabakh in the UN General Assembly, he said “it will change nothing.”

“This resolution will resemble the one adopted in 2008. Even if adopted it will soon be forgotten,” the expert noted.

According to the rector of Yerevan State Linguistic University, Suren Zolyan, Armenia should form a military political union with Karabakh.
