Diaspora Armenians would boycott the liturgy on Akhtamar island, even if Turkish authorities agreed to set the cross on top of Holy Cross Armenian church, Jerusalem Hay Dat office director stated.

“We realize that the event is nothing more but a Turkey-organized show. We don’t want to be a part of it,”Georgetta Avakian told PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

As she noted, on September 19, Jerusalem Armenians will initiate a protest rally against liturgy in Akhtamar’s Holy Cross church.
