The RA State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) has not agreed with the publication of PanARMENIAN.Net, according to which the price for flour (AMD 200/1kg) voiced by SCPEC Chairman Artak Shaboyan does not correspond to prices for flour in Yerevan stores.
A PanARMENIAN.Net reporter found out that the price for high-grade flour varies from AMD 270 to 450 per kilogram.
According to a statement of the SCPEC, the price for high-grade flour voiced by Shaboyan was revealed by employees of the Commission due to monitoring conducted not in all retail stores of Yerevan, but only at the following addresses: 33 Abovyan St (Alex Grig) and 61 Artsakh St (Manan Grain).
Meanwhile, the aforementioned companies dominate the import and sales market of wheat flour, securing 81.7% of it. Thus, the prices formed by these companies are more representative.
