Chairman of the NKR National Assembly committee on foreign relations Vahram Atanesyan said that the meeting between EU Envoy for South Caucasus Peter Semneby as well as the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs and the so-called Azerbaijani community of Nagorno Karabakh, specifically Fahrad Badalbeyli, arouses concerns, as these people never lived in Karabakh and are not victims of the conflict.

“If the mediators ignore this fact, isn’t it time for 500 thousand Armenian refugees to remind about their rights,” Atanesyan said.

“The Co-chairs will cross the line of contact in Martakert region, their way lying through the occupied villages of Maraga and Margushavan, where the Azerbaijani army organized massacre of over 6000 local Armenian residents on April 10, 1992,” he emphasized.

“If the Azerbaijani occupation of some Martakert territories is legal, so the settlement in NKR liberated territories is legal all the more,” Atanesyan concluded.
