California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger issued on September 14 a message on the occasion of the 19th Anniversary of Armenian Independence, Asbarez reported.

“Greetings to the celebrants of Armenian Independence Day! California is home to a wonderful meshing of customs and cultures and now we acknowledge our Armenian-American residents for their contributions to our Golden State. You enhance our communities and enrich California's diversity. We are honored to join you in commemorating this special occasion.

On behalf of all Californians, we wish you a memorable observance and every future success,” the message reads.
