Museum and library employees in Armenia concerned about electronic resources protection

Protection of electronic recourses was discussed at a round table in Yerevan, hosting representatives of libraries, museums, national archives, publishing houses and media.

Electronic material copyright protection, information maintenance, creation of library and museum database and other issues were covered.

“Literary heritage of Armenia is threatened,” the deputy director of the National Library of Armenia, Rafik Ghazaryan believes.

“Preservation of information, regardless of data carriers, requires significant recourses. Programs aimed at creation of proper conditions in libraries and museum to optimize the process are being currently discussed by the government,” Ghazaryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

The round table discussion was organized by the National Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation jointly with the National Association of Armenian Publishers.
