Armenia to host International Council of Museums conference in 2012

Armenia will host the conference of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) in 2012, with 200 representatives of foreign museums participating. The conference, to be held for the first time in South Caucasus, will be timed to 500th anniversary of book printing in Armenia.

“ICOM conference will cover museum and publishing-related issues,” Emma Nardi, the president of the ICOM Committee for Education and Cultural Action (CECA), Experimental Pedagogy professor at Roma Tre University told a news conference in Yerevan.

During her stay in Yerevan, Ms. Nardi, jointly with Marie-Clarte O'Neill, French National Heritage Institute professor, will conduct Hands-on and Minds-on training course for 16 museum employees to boost their presentation skills.
