Yerevan to host Popok international advertising festival late October

Yerevan will host Popok international advertising festival on October 28-30.

As President of the Advertising Council of Armenia Armen Martirosyan told a news conference on September 29, applications from more than 26 countries, including Great Britain, Germany, France, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Turkey, Iran, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Latvia, have been received.

The jury is composed of well-known advertising specialists, who are also expected to conduct master classes.

The contest program includes the following items: TV advertising; Radio advertising; Internet advertising; Print advertising and Outdoor; Marketing Efficiency and Graphic Design.

According to Status Holding director Tigran Balayan, the festival will help development of Armenian advertisement.

The Founding Director of Deem Communication, Raffi Niziblian, said Popok (translated from Armenian as walnut), the symbol of the festival, can be interpreted as POP, the short of Point of Purchase advertisement term, and OK. Besides, the walnut resembling a human brain can symbolize the creative potential of ad makers.
