Armenian PM expects Serge Smesow to remain good friend of Armenian people

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received French Ambassador to Armenia Serge Smesow, who is completing his mission in the republic.

PM Sargsyan hailed the Ambassador’s contribution to boosting Armenian-French relations, specifically the economic ties, the governmental press service reported.

For his part, Ambassador Smesow noted that France is the second largest investor in Armenia, after Russia, what is proved by the considerable progress registered in the economic cooperation.

The parties attached importance to the activity of a range of large companies in Armenia, including France Telecom – Orange.

The two men also discussed intensification of trade and economic ties between the two countries in various fields – insurance, energy, electronics, agriculture, wine production, pharmaceutics, etc.

The Armenian Prime Minister wished the Ambassador success in his diplomatic career, expressing hope that Serge Smesow will remain a good friend of the Armenian people.
