New Armenian wine & brandy factory construction to be completed by November 2011

On September 30, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan visited the region of Aragatsotn where he was briefed on the process of Golden Grape Armas wine & brandy factory construction.

The company was founded in 2007, with 10 thousand fruit trees and 400 thousand grape vines planted the same year.

As Golden Grape Armas director Armen Aslanyan told a news conference in Aragatsotn, factory construction material has been imported from Italy, with construction works conducted based on Italian experts’ advice. “We plan to complete the construction by November 2011, further involving 300 employees in factory operation. Factory production will be exported to U.S., Europe, Russia and Ukraine in accordance with preliminary agreements.”

“Construction of a tasting room and development of agro-tourism in the region are among the company’s long range plans,” Aslanyan stated.
