The Armenian bureau of motor insurers published insurance tariffs applied for the compulsory vehicle insurance (OSAGO).

According to information posted on the bureau official website, the minimum basic insurance payment was determined through application of minimum coefficients of risk towards the minimum basic insurance payment and comprised AMD 21,841 per year. Meanwhile, the maximum basic insurance payment was determined through application of maximum coefficients of risk towards the maximum basic insurance payment and totaled AMD 21,841 per year.

On May 18, 2010 Armenian National Assembly approved the law on compulsory insurance of motor vehicles, which envisages payment of compensation to people who suffered in car accidents. The law will come into force from January 1, 2011, with the sale of insurance policies to start from mid-October 2010.
