Film on Armenian massacre in Maragha presented in Yerevan

“Maragha, April 10, 1992. Ordinary Genocide” documentary was presented in Yerevan.

The film tells about the massacre of Armenians committed by Azerbaijanis in Maragha village of Martakert region.

“We are hopeful that this film will not only tell the truth but will also help the talks on Karabakh conflict resolution,” Ordinary Genocide project director Marina Grigoryan said.

On April 10, 1992, Azerbaijani police officers set the village to fire and exterminated its population. The number of Armenians killed in Maragha reached 100, including 30 women; 40 were wounded and 63 taken captives. Maragha is still occupied by Azerbaijan.
