Armenian delegation, headed by the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication, Valter Marutyan will participate in International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Plenipotentiary Conference due October 4-11 in Guadalajara (Mexico).

The Plenipotentiary Conference is the key event at which ITU Member States decide on the future role of the organization, thereby determining the organization's ability to influence and affect the development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) worldwide.

ITU Sector Members, Regional Telecommunication and Intergovernmental Organizations, and the United Nations and its specialized agencies also attend the Conference as observers.
