Ankara resumes discussion of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad construction

On October 4-7, Ankara will host discussions related to implementation of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad construction project.

Possibilities for train operation via railways of the CIS states, Turkey and Europe will be discussed during the sitting with participation of Azerbaijani, Georgian and Turkish representatives, according to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transportation.

Besides, problems which may arise and ways for their solution, will be discussed, 1news.az reported.

A 105-km long new railroad spur will be constructed as part of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project, including 76km and 29km on Turkey’s and Georgia’s territory respectively.
