Armenia, Ukraine interested in boosting relations

On October 5, newly appointed Ukrainian Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Kukhta handed over his credentials to Armenian President Serz Sargsyan.

Mr. Sargsyan noted that Armenia is interested in boosting relations and cooperation with Ukraine. According to him, the needed legal-contractual basis already exists. Besides, favorable conditions have been created for expanding cooperation between the two countries. President Sargsyan attached importance to collaboration between Armenia and Ukraine within international organizations.

Ambassador Kukhta noted for his part that economic and political reforms are under way in Ukraine, while President Viktor Yanukovych attaches importance to strengthening cooperation with Armenia.

The parties also pointed to significance of economic, cultural, humanitarian and interregional collaboration, as well as intensification of businessmen’s contacts and organization of business forums, the RA President’s press service reported.
