46cm rise in Sevan water level reported in 2010

A 46cm rise in Sevan water level was reported in 2010 compared to last year’s index, the head of the presidential committee for Sevan issues Vladimir Movsisyan stated.

“Currently, the clarity of the lake, rather than water level rise has been among the most vital issues,” Movsisyan told a news conference in Yerevan.

On October 5, a working conference on Lake Sevan issues was held by presidential order.

The conference covered the committee activities over the last 9 months, as well as implementation of tasks assigned at June 2010 session.
