RA Foreign Minister expresses his indignation over killing of Armenian captive in Baku

On October 6, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Bernard Fassier (France), Robert Bradtke (U.S.) and Igor Popov (Russia), as well as personal representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.

The mediators briefed Edward Nalbandian on the results of discussions held in Baku, as well as the program of the field assessment mission to be implemented on the territories around Nagorno Karabakh.

For his part, the Armenian Foreign Minister expressed his indignation over the killing of the Armenian captive, saying that even representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross had no opportunity to meet with him for 25 days. Edward Nalbandian said that Baku’s methods, which are peculiar to terrorist groups, do not contribute to negotiations.

The parties also discussed continuation of negotiations based on Madrid principles, the RA MFA press service reported.
