Yerevan to mark World Post Day through Europe 2010: Children’s Books stamp issue

On October 8, Yerevan will host an official ceremony of Europe 2010: Children’s Books stamp issue dedicated to the World Post Day, the press service of Haypost CJSC reported.

World Post Day is celebrated annually to commemorate the founding of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in 1874 in Bern, Switzerland. Postal services throughout the world use the celebrations to introduce new products and services and to organize philatelic exhibitions.

Currently, the UPU has 189 member-countries, including Armenia.
