By presidential decree, the pro-rector of Yerevan Medical University, the head of Medical Microbiology Department Armenak Shekoyan was awarded with the title of the Honored Science Worker for significant contribution to the development of education and science in Armenia.

By another decree of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, the Doctor of Medicine, Professor Mushegh Mirijanyan was awarded with Mkitar Heratsi medal for significant contribution to the development of education and science in Armenia, presidential press service reported.
