Vuk Jeremic: Armenia and Serbia should build future and not only speak about past

On October 19, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic, who participates in the CoE Forum For the Future of Democracy in Yerevan.

Mr. Sargsyan noted that Armenia attaches importance to development of relations with Serbia and expressed hope that through mutual efforts it will be possible to form the necessary legal-contractual field, boost cultural ties and facilitate active cooperation between business circles of the two countries, the RA presidential press service reported.

“During the visit of Serbian President Boris Tadic to Armenia last year, we had a good opportunity to discuss our bilateral relations,” the Armenian President said, adding that the Armenian-Serbian relations should develop on the basis of the historical friendship.

The Serbian Foreign Minister said for his part that not all countries have such glorious past in their relations, as Armenia and Serbia. He agreed with President Sargsyan that the two countries should build their future and not only speak about the past.
