Tehran to lift visa requirements for citizens of neighboring countries

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said Tehran plans to lift visa requirements for citizens of neighboring countries, Press TV reported.

The move will help Iran increase its interactions and communication with neighboring countries, Mottaki said.

Iran has already lifted visa requirements for the Azerbaijani citizens and expects the Azerbaijani government to introduce a visa-free regime for Iranians soon, he added.

Besides, Iran and Georgia are also planning to eliminate visa regulations in the near future, Mottaki said.
