Armenian MFA: force or sanctions aren’t the best way to resolve Iran’s nuclear issue

Armenia-Iran relations are dynamically developing, with joint energy and transport projects implemented.

Both countries intend to develop relations, what is mutually beneficial, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian stated.

Dwelling on possibility of Armenia’s supporting sanctions against Iran, Nalbadian noted that all UN member states should respect Security Council resolutions, as required by the UN Charter.

“However, we don’t believe that force or sanctions are the best way to resolve the issue,” he said, expressing hope for the problem to be settled through negotiations, Foreign Ministry press service reported.
