75% of Russia’s population reluctant about inflow of “strangers”

According to 2009’s social research in Russia, 75% of local population is reluctant about the inflow of “strangers”, the head of Sociology Department at Yerevan State University, Doctor of Political Sciences Artur Atanesyan sated.

“Over the 100 years, the tendency of oppressing the Armenians in Russia has remained unchanged. Russia’s lack of foreign strategy towards Armenia at official level, and internet postings on assaults of Caucasians at unofficial level, give us specific idea of moods prevalent in Russian society,” the expert said at international scientific conference on Armenia-Russia relations in the light of regional security and stability.
