Representative of the Oriental Studies Institute of the RA National Academy of Sciences Christine Melkonyan said that the Armenian-Turkish normalization will remain frozen for a long time.

Answering a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter’s question as to whether the Armenia-Turkish normalization will be resumed soon, Melkonyan told a press conference in Yerevan that if the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) of Turkey remains in power, the process may be resumed.

“However, possibly, the process will not be resumed, with the Armenian-Turkish relations to remain frozen for another 3-5 years,” concluded Melkonyan.
