The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) initiated administrative procedure against Orange Armenia mobile operator for possible acts of unfair competition.

As SCPEC press service told PanARMENIAN.Net, the procedure was initiated based on media reports (Hetq weekly and Hetq online website). The Committee obliged Orange Armenia to provide explanations within 7 days, also submitting information on advertisement materials distributed from November 2009-October 2010.

On October 4, Hetq online published an article entitled Success of Orange and Misfortune of Subscribers, suggesting that TV commercials mislead Orange subscribers promising high connection speed the company is unable to provide.
