Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan sent a letter of condolences on the death of former prime minister of Russia, prominent politician and statesman Viktor Chernomyrdin.

“On behalf of the Armenian government and myself, I express deepest condolences to the family, relatives and colleagues of Viktor Chernomyrdin,” said Tigran Sargsyan in the letter.

The letter also reads that Viktor Chernomyrdin played an important role in the establishment and development of energy structures of Armenia, elimination of consequences of the 1988 disastrous earthquake and rehabilitation of the earthquake zone, as well as in the development of the Armenian-Russian economic cooperation, the RA governmental press service reported.
