Orange Armenia doesn’t plan LTE network launch in near future

Orange Armenia CEO Bruno Duthoit said the company is not planning the launch of LTE network in the near future.

“The operating 3G+ standards allow to provide the subscribers with a connection speed of 14,4 Mbit/s. We will launch 4G when all essential conditions are created in the country,” he said in Yerevan during a public demonstration and testing of 4G, the fourth generation of cellular wireless standards.

According to general manager of Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) Armenia Murad Vardzelyan, the LTE network developed and launched as a pilot project in10 countries of the world secures a 160 Mbit/s speed during download and up to 50 Mbit/s during upload.
